About the Position
We are expanding our team with a Senior Accountant to manage monthly US GAAP accounting and closing responsibilities for specific entities or processes. You will ensure SAP entries are correct and on time, prepare reconciliations and variance reports, and support audits and process changes. Apply now to join a results-focused finance function.
Responsibilities
- Manage US GAAP accounting for assigned entities and areas, including accruals, prepayments, and recurring closing activities
- Carry out monthly close activities in SAP based on company policies and required timelines
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and provide explanations for profit & loss variances within your scope
- Verify transaction source documents and accounting details prior to posting or uploading to SAP, ensuring tax codes and support packages are accurate
- Determine and record accruals and prepayments using system information, trend analysis, and supporting evidence
- Follow up on and resolve posting discrepancies between operational systems and SAP for your assigned area
- Evaluate unusual or irregular transactions and recommend suitable accounting actions for senior review
- Collaborate with local accountants, business partners, and finance teams to collect information, resolve issues, and meet closing deadlines
- Supply required information to third-party accounting firms for local reporting deliverables
- Help address internal and external audit requests with explanations, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
- Participate in process improvements, system testing, and rollout of workflow changes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, ideally in a multinational setting
- Sound knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and key accounting standards
- Direct experience with SAP or comparable ERP platforms for accounting tasks
- Advanced Excel skills for reconciliations and calculation support
- Strong precision, accountability, and ability to operate independently within established processes
- Clear written and verbal English communication (B1+ level or above)
