Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and related analyses.
Perform financial reporting and analysis of monthly and quarterly results.
Prepare ad hoc reports and respond to management inquiries.
Participate in process improvement projects and departmental initiatives.
Prepare audit schedules and liaise with internal and external auditors.
Assist with documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
Support, mentor, and train other members of the accounting team.

Requirements

Education: University Degree.
Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience (public accounting, general accounting, consolidations, or financial reporting).
Knowledge: Strong understanding of IFRS and/or GAAP.
Skills:
- Experience with fixed assets accounting.
- SAP experience required.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
Abilities:
- Ability to lead special projects involving the general ledger when required.
- Exposure to standardization and simplification of accounting policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities.
Certifications: CPA designation or MBA required.

Nice to Have

Experience in a similar role within a multinational corporation.
Experience with other ERP systems beyond SAP.

Compensation: Competitive salary range of CAD 91,000 - 108,000.
