About the Position
We're seeking a Senior AI Backend Developer (Python) with expertise in AI solutions and backend development to join our R&D team in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Responsibilities
- Development of full-cycle AI solutions: Independent design, coding, testing, and deployment of services (from architecture to production output).
- Creation of RAG systems and AI agents: Development of autonomous AI agents and search systems based on vector databases and modern LLMs.
- Integration of ready-made models: Use of Open Source models from Hugging Face for classification, recognition (OCR), summarization, and entity extraction (NER) tasks.
- Building high-load Backend: Creation of fast and reliable APIs, optimization of data handling, and connecting AI modules to business processes.
- DevOps and maintenance: Setting up CI/CD, containerization with Docker, and deploying services on Linux servers or in the cloud.
Requirements
- Python & FastAPI: Deep knowledge of the language and experience in building high-performance APIs.
- Data Management: Confident work with PostgreSQL (including plugins like pgvector).
- Vector Databases: Experience with any vector database (pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, Chroma, etc.) for implementing RAG systems.
- Understanding of modern LLM principles and experience in their integration.
- Experience in creating AI agents (from scratch, but using LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or similar frameworks will be a plus).
- Ability to work with Hugging Face models for specific tasks (NER, Classification, Summarization, OCR, etc.).
- Proficient in Docker.
- Ability to independently deploy a service on a server (Linux, CI/CD processes).
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Autonomy.
- English B2+.
Nice to Have
- Experience in deploying and optimizing local models (vLLM, Ollama, GPTQ/GGUF quantization).
- Knowledge of basic frontend technologies for creating prototypes and internal interfaces.
