About the Position

Senior AI Cloud Architect Public 360°- Tieto Indtech (m/f/d)

Tietoevry Public 360 - building secure, scalable digital services for the public sector across the Nordics.

Responsibilities

  • Design and evolve the target architecture for a public-cloud-first AI platform (Azure preferred).
  • Exploration of alternative deployment strategies for high-security customers.
  • Build secure, compliant foundations: landing zones, identity, networking, encryption, secrets, logging, and policy-as-code.
  • Architect for scale and automation: infrastructure as code, CI/CD, GitOps, self-service environments, and operational runbooks.
  • Own platform reliability: observability, SLOs, incident patterns, performance, and cost optimization (FinOps).
  • Define patterns for AI product integration: APIs, event-driven processing, data pipelines, and multi-tenant considerations.
  • Partner with AI engineers/data scientists on MLOps and LLMOps: model delivery pipelines, feature stores, evaluation, and monitoring.
  • Drive security and Trustworthy AI practices together with security, privacy, and product teams (GDPR and data residency aware).
  • Support solutioning and pre-sales when needed, and mentor architects/engineers across product teams.

Requirements

  • Senior – 8-10+ years of relevant experience, including service or solution architecture in complex product environments. More junior profiles will be considered in case of relevant experience – not the time but the type of experience and responsibility is important to us.
  • Strong public cloud architecture skills (Azure: AKS/Container Apps, Functions, App Service, API Management, Event Hubs/Service Bus, Storage, SQL/Cosmos DB, Key Vault, Entra ID).
  • Experience with multiple deployment scenarios and high security requirements is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with automation: Terraform and/or Bicep, CI/CD (Azure DevOps/GitHub), and modern deployment practices.
  • Proven security architecture skills: threat modeling, zero trust, network segmentation, secrets management, vulnerability management, and audit readiness.
  • Experience building or operating AI/ML platforms: Azure ML/MLflow, model serving, data pipelines, and LLM integration patterns.
  • Ability to translate business needs into pragmatic architectures and communicate clearly with both engineers and stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with GenAI platforms (e.g., Azure OpenAI) and guardrails: content filters, prompt injection defense, red teaming, and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of data engineering components: Databricks/Spark, Delta Lake, data streaming, and search/vector databases.
  • Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer, or similar.

We Offer

  • Build technology that improves citizen services - with real-world scale and meaningful impact.
  • A highly skilled, collaborative environment with room to influence architecture decisions end-to-end.
  • Modern cloud-first stack, strong focus on security and responsible AI, and freedom to explore new approaches (including agentic AI).
  • Professional growth, international collaboration, and a culture built on trust, transparency, and ownership.
