About the Position
Join EPAM Systems as a Senior AI Engineer if you're driven by the idea of using modern machine learning approaches to solve sophisticated risk problems. We design and deliver AI-based products on a global scale, empowering decision-making in areas such as underwriting, pricing models, claims processing, and risk assessment for Property & Casualty Reinsurance.
Please note that this position requires working from the office in Bratislava 2–3 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy AI solutions to extract insights from complex underwriting and claims documents using Generative AI
- Build and operationalize machine learning models supporting risk selection, pricing, and portfolio steering
- Develop AI tools to help automate and make our business more efficient
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python (or similar languages) and familiarity with modern AI/ML frameworks
- Solid understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and MLOps practices
- Strong engineering mindset and appreciation for clean, maintainable, production-ready code
Nice to Have
- Experience deploying AI systems into production environments, including monitoring, observability, and lifecycle management
- Experience working with large-scale data pipelines and distributed systems
- Experience in Generative AI, Natural Language Processing, or document intelligence
- Interest in AI robustness, explainability, governance, and secure model deployment
- Exposure to Insurance or Reinsurance, particularly in Property & Casualty a plus but not required
