About the Position

OMMAX GmbH is seeking a (Senior) AI Engineer to join our team in München, Berlin, or Amsterdam. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize scalable AI platforms, backend services, and engineering capabilities that enable enterprise-grade AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable AI platforms, backend services, and engineering capabilities.
• Develop reusable AI frameworks, APIs, platform components, and engineering tooling.
• Build and maintain AI deployment pipelines, model serving infrastructure, monitoring capabilities, and operational tooling.
• Drive engineering excellence by improving scalability, reliability, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with Forward Deployed AI Engineers to provide technical foundations for successful client implementations.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and continuously improve engineering standards, platform capabilities, and development workflows.
• Mentor engineers through technical reviews, knowledge sharing, and engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in AI engineering or software development, including exposure to Generative AI.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Familiarity with ML frameworks and Generative AI tools such as PyTorch, LangChain, or vector databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Fluency in English; additional local language skills are a plus.
