Senior AI Engineer at 3Shape

Join one of the most exciting Danish tech companies in the medical device industry and make an impact. With us you will be able to work on solutions used by thousands of dental professionals worldwide. We are currently looking for an ambitious Senior AI Engineer to join our team in Poland.

As a Senior AI Engineer, you’ll join an agile team of AI experts spearheading AI adoption within our After Sales division - building production-grade AI solutions that support thousands of internal users and customers globally.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI Integration: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand real business problems, assess where AI can create measurable impact, and decide which use cases are worth pursuing.
• Design & Deploy Agents: Build and productionize complex multi-modal agents with deep systems & tool integration, LLM reasoning, and robust testing/evaluation loops.
• Own solutions end-to-end: Take full ownership from concept to production, including architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and production performance.
• Set engineering standards: Contribute to the testing, evals, deployment patterns, agent design, and software engineering practices that the AI team will build on.
• Provide technical leadership: Lead small, high-impact teams when a use case requires it, mentor more junior engineers, and help raise the technical bar of the team.

Requirements

• 5+ years building production software, with at least the last year or two shipping AI / Agentic systems users actually rely on.
• Strong Python (FastAPI or similar). Code other engineers want to maintain.
• Real experience with modern agent frameworks, tool and system integration, and LLM evaluation - beyond prompt engineering.
• A bias for ownership. You've taken something from problem statement to running production system, and stayed accountable for it.
• Business instinct. You can talk to a stakeholder, dissect a workflow from first principles, and propose a solution that delivers impact.
• You live AI in your daily work and have informed opinions about it. Claude / Codex / Cursor power user.
• Excellent English and the communication skills to match.

Nice to Have

• Experience with ElevenLabs, Azure AI, Databricks, or Palantir.
• Front-end chops (TypeScript / React) for building agent UIs and internal tools.
• Cloud / DevOps fluency: containers, CI/CD, logging and metrics.
• C# /.NET for integrating with parts of our existing stack.
