Senior AI/ML Engineer (GenAI, AWS)

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer specializing in GenAI and AWS to join our team at Provectus. As an AWS Premier Partner and Anthropic Strategic Partner, we are at the forefront of applied AI, helping enterprises achieve measurable business outcomes through bespoke applications, managed services, and advisory engagements. Our work primarily focuses on the Financial Services & Insurance and Healthcare & Life Sciences sectors, where we deploy five pre-built AI Blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Forward Deployed Executives (FDX) and Forward Deployed Engineers (FDE) to build and ship production GenAI systems into customer environments.
• Develop and optimize RAG systems for production use cases.
• Write production code across the stack, including AI, backend services, and data pipelines.
• Integrate AI components into backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Implement LLMOps and AgentOps practices, including agent tracing, prompt and version management, cost and latency monitoring, regression testing, and drift detection.
• Conduct model evaluation, improve failure modes, and optimize model performance, efficiency, and reliability.
• Mentor junior and mid-level AI engineers and conduct code reviews.

Requirements

Mindset

• B2+ English proficiency and experience collaborating across distributed, multicultural teams.

Technical Depth

• 5+ years in software or ML engineering with production systems.
• Solid AI/ML foundations and understanding of model failure modes.
• Experience with LLM APIs (Anthropic, AWS Bedrock, or OpenAI) and agent frameworks.
• Experience building and optimizing RAG systems in production.
• Strong engineering fundamentals with a full-stack mindset.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Bedrock, Bedrock AgentCore, Lambda, ECS, S3, SQS, ECR, etc.
• Cloud-native delivery practices, including containers, IaC, and CI/CD applied to AI pipelines.
• Experience with model and agent monitoring, drift detection, and cost and latency discipline.

Nice to Have

• Experience in financial services, insurance, or healthcare.
• Consulting, professional services, or embedded customer-facing delivery experience.
• AWS and Claude Code Certifications.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
• Practical experience with NLP, LLMs, or Recommendation engines.
• Experience with Go, TypeScript, Rust, Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, or Kafka.
