Senior Android Developer

About the Position

We are looking for a motivated Senior Android Developer to join our team in Hungary. Kindly note that this role supports remote work, but only from within Hungary.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of features described in the requirement specifications and design documents
• Design and implement sub-systems or whole solutions
• Mentor less experienced team members
• Conduct code reviews
• Take part in the development of native mobile apps with Android
• Work within a distributed global team of developers to complete proposed initiatives, contributing application architecture and implementation guidance
• Quickly gain an understanding of our clients’ requirements, technology needs, and solution architecture
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop appropriate solutions
• Brainstorm with team members and prove ability to think on the fly

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Android development
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin
• Proficiency in Kotlin Coroutines, Flows
• Experience with Dagger2/Hilt dependency injection
• Familiarity with Android Jetpack Compose
• Knowledge of Android Jetpack libraries: Navigation, WorkManager
• Understanding of mobile application design and UX
• Proficiency with Git
• Knowledge of Design patterns (GoF) and architecture of the applications
• Experience with MVVM/MVI architecture-based development
• Understanding of Gradle
• Unit testing experience
• Experience working in Agile teams
• Good command of English: Intermediate spoken level and higher
• Experience in Mentorship
• Familiarity with SOLID/DRY/YAGNI coding principles

Nice to Have

• Experience with A/B testing
• CI/CD setup and maintenance
• Familiarity with BFF API pattern
• Knowledge of GraphQL
