Senior Android Developer

About the Position

Join our team as a Senior Android Developer in Bucharest, contributing to mobile products used by millions of customers across international markets. You’ll work in a large-scale technology environment, collaborating with experienced engineers to build and evolve digital experiences that support everyday connectivity and services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Android applications using Kotlin and Java
• Build mobile features that integrate with REST-based backend services
• Apply established architectural patterns and Android development best practices
• Create responsive and user-friendly interfaces using Jetpack Compose and Material Design
• Write and maintain automated tests to ensure application stability and reliability
• Work with local data storage using SQLite and Room
• Collaborate with backend developers, product teams, and other engineers throughout the development lifecycle
• Investigate technical issues, troubleshoot application behavior, and contribute to improving overall app performance and quality
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining clean, maintainable code
• Use Git for source control and follow established development workflows
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the mobile development process and engineering practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience developing Android applications
• Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin and Java
• Solid knowledge of Android development and MVVM architecture
• Experience working with Coroutines, RxJava, Dagger 2, and Jetpack Compose
• Good understanding of Material Design 2 and 3
• Experience integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs
• Practical experience with unit testing, including JUnit, Robolectric, and Mockito
• Experience working with SQLite and Room
• Good understanding of Git and modern development practices
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Fluent English, both written and spoken
