Senior Android Engineer

About the Position

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Android Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client is a company that develops an AI-driven screen content management solution that has been in the industry for 11 years. The company currently specializes in the Broadcast Media area. A remote control stick enables users to manage, personalize, and showcase practice content with promotions, events, and announcements.

The brand partners constantly update the content library, so you’ll never need to track down new videos again. You can choose from hundreds of brands and thousands of videos that are perfect for your practice. Their Smart TV apps on Google TV (Android) and Roku app stores represent about 50% of Smart TVs in the US. Its headquarters is located in California, USA.

Important

• This role requires the ability to start within one month max.
• You should be based in Pune and willing to work from the office in Pune (2-3 days a week).
• Be able to work in IST – IST+1 core hours (9 AM to 5:30 PM).
• It is a full-time position (8 hrs/day).

Responsibilities

• Develop native Android applications.
• Implement software engineering practices (unit testing, code reviews, design documentation).
• Utilize strong proficiency in Java/Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Demonstrate solid knowledge of Android OS architecture.
• Work with HTML5.
• Apply solid understanding of the software development life-cycle and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in developing native Android applications.
• Experience with software engineering practices (unit testing, code reviews, design documentation).
• Strong proficiency in Java/Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Solid knowledge of Android OS architecture.
• Solid experience with HTML5.
• Solid understanding of the software development life-cycle and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
