Senior Android Engineer with AOSP

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Android Engineer with AOSP to join our team in Wroclaw, Poland, focusing on embedded products in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Work on both Android Apps layer and AOSP framework layer.
• Implement custom platform services, applications, and device management features.
• Provide core system services for other system components.
• Ensure performance and security in unique embedded products.

Requirements

Must have:

• Expertise in Kotlin programming language.
• Experience in end-to-end application lifecycle management of system applications.
• Proficiency in multi-threaded programming and Middleware solution development on Android.
• Strong fundamentals of IPC and OS concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong software design and architecture skills.
• Good understanding of Android SDK APIs and experience exploring the AOSP framework.
• Configuring security policies on Android with SELinux for various applications/services.
• Advanced knowledge of Android application sandboxing and secure data sharing between different apps and services.
• Advanced knowledge of revision control and code review tools like git, gerrit, and build infrastructure like gradle, maven, Jenkins, and tools like Android Studio.
• Strong debugging skills for quick turnaround on root cause analysis of bugs.
