About the Position
Senior Associate - Financial Accounting & Reporting Specialist
Global Finance Services (GFS) is the department responsible for the central processing and reporting of all accounting events globally related to the Financial Markets, Treasury, Lending, and Payments Services of ING Bank. The Manila location is in a growing phase, with activities expected to grow further in both depth and broadness during 2022 and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Execution of product and general ledger accounting and processing of month-end closure procedures.
- Preparation of regulatory reports, Balance Sheet, P&L, and processing of key controls and quality controls.
- Managing the month-end intercompany reconciliation process for ledger.
- Preparation of invoices, accruals, asset management activities, etc.
- Creation of management information reports & dashboards.
- Process improvement around Head Office accounting & reporting functions.
- Ensuring compliance with Accounting Standards and ING financial reporting framework.
- Project-related Head Office reporting requirements.
- Other ad hoc projects as requested.
Requirements
- Graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Equivalent.
- Master’s Degree and Certified Public Accountant certification is desired.
- Basic to proficient understanding of banking knowledge and products.
- Knowledgeable on IFRS.
- Understanding of key financial markets and lending products traded in ING, as well as key EU regulations.
- Experience of UAT testing for system changes.
- Ability to work on tasks and manage own time to meet deadlines.
- Skilled in communicating on complex topics and solutions and must be open to ideas from others.
- Comfortable working in an international context.
- Transparent, flexible, and motivated to make every day a success.
