You will streamline software development and IT service workflows, working closely with cross-functional teams to improve traceability, operational efficiency, and governance across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Administer and improve Jira Cloud, Jira Service Management, and Confluence Cloud configurations across multiple projects and teams.
- Configure and troubleshoot workflows, screens, fields, permissions, issue-level security, roles, boards, queues, SLAs, request types, and project settings.

- Help maintain governance around automation, scripts, permissions, access models, tokens, and admin changes.
- Work with product, QA, ITSM, engineering, security, and platform teams to translate process needs into practical Atlassian solutions.
- Document solutions clearly so other admins and teams can understand, maintain, and safely reuse them.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Jira Cloud administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Jira Service Management Cloud, including queues, request workflows, approvals, SLAs, customer-facing configurations, and project setup.
- Solid experience with Confluence Cloud administration, including space management, permissions, documentation structure, and admin-focused knowledge content.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining Jira Automation rules, using JQL, smart values, branching, conditions, scheduled triggers, web requests, and audit logs.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities across automation behavior, permissions, workflow blockers, field configurations, board behavior, and project scheme conflicts.
- Practical experience with Xray for Jira Cloud for test management and traceability.
- Experience working with ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud, leveraging it for advanced querying, scripting, or extending platform capabilities.
- Experience developing or maintaining Python scripts using Atlassian Cloud REST APIs for administrative and automation purposes.
- Solid understanding of API authentication, account IDs, pagination, rate limits, error handling, and safe execution of bulk operations.
- Good understanding of permissions and access management in Jira and Confluence.
- Experience integrating Jira/Confluence with CI/CD or development tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitbucket, or similar.
- Experience working in enterprise environments, where changes are reviewed, documented, and tested prior to rollout.
- Strong communication skills, particularly when working with non-admin stakeholders to clarify requirements and align on expected behavior before implementing changes.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments (e.g., healthcare and life sciences, compliance-heavy domains)
- Exposure to Atlassian solution design and cross-project architecture, including shared schemes and standardization
- Experience defining governance practices (automation, scripting, naming conventions, documentation, change control)
- Familiarity with enterprise Atlassian capabilities, such as Atlassian Access (SSO/SAML, SCIM) or identity management
