Job description

(Senior) Audit Manager - Gent

Hybride - Gent, Oost-Vlaanderen, België - Audit & Assurance

About the Position

Moore is a large employer with the character of a small organization: short lines, quick decisions, no-nonsense culture, and a lot of entrepreneurial spirit. We offer employees meaningful work in a company that is close to the client and provides a wide range of services in Accounting, Audit, Corporate Finance, Tax & Legal, Business Consulting, and Business Analytics. At Moore, we work together as companions towards the same goal: from our passion for entrepreneurship, we actively support our clients and colleagues on their path to growth. And we are growing ourselves too. That's why our Business Unit Audit is looking for a (Senior) Audit Manager for our office in Gent.

Responsibilities

  • As an audit manager, you are responsible for your clients. You manage a team and report directly to the audit partner or audit director.
  • You are responsible for the execution of various audit assignments. You bear the technical responsibility for your audit files. You determine the audit approach, ensure the finalization of audit assignments, and provide expert advice to your audit partner, including preparation of the recommendation letter and commissioner's report. You monitor the correct execution of the work program, check the analyses and conclusions documented by the audit team, and actively manage the budget.
  • You review the more complex audit sections of the audit assignment and are involved in more complex files.
  • You know your clients' businesses inside out and provide them with insight into the reliability of their financial reporting. You are their audit ‘companion de route’.
  • Using some sophisticated tools, you gather valuable information and quickly detect financial risks.
  • You are familiar with common audit procedures and tools. You keep your knowledge up-to-date and help develop new methods and technologies.
  • Additionally, you engage in one-off assignments such as statutory assignments assigned to the company auditor as well as due diligence assignments, valuations, subsidy research, attestations, etc.
  • You act as a coach and ensure the ‘supervision of’ and ‘knowledge transfer to’ the senior auditor.
  • Preferably, you have already obtained your title of company auditor or are a trainee company auditor.

Requirements

  • You have a master's degree in an economic field (Commercial Engineer, Applied Economic Sciences, Commercial Sciences, etc.)
  • You have built up at least 5 to 10 years of expertise in Audit.
  • You have a great interest and drive to expand and share your knowledge and expertise in Audit. As a file manager, you take charge of your audit files and manage a team.
  • A digital and data-driven mindset suits you and you stimulate it in the team.
  • Your clients are Dutch-speaking, so you speak and write excellent Dutch. Knowledge of English and French is a plus.
  • You achieve the objectives through your client-oriented and analytical approach. Being a team player comes naturally to you and with your strong communication skills you create trust.

We Offer

  • Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Sharing are our core values. They form the common thread in everything we do, not only for our clients but also for our employees.
  • We help you grow into the best version of yourself. Because that is embedded in our mission.
  • Thanks to our extensive network of offices and our policy of place- and time-independent working, working from home - in combination with working in an office near your home - is an option, so that your private life also remains in balance.
  • You will receive a market-conform salary that is fully in line with your experience and capabilities, supplemented with many other interesting benefits.
  • We are ‘a company of companions’: thinkers, doers, feelers, tacklers, meaning-makers, and colleagues. People-oriented, with a heart for the client and for each other.
  • You will find yourself in a warm organization where everyone can be themselves. And that's why our employees consider Moore Belgium a good workplace and “a Best Place to Work” ©.
