Senior Automation Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer with strong manual testing and API testing experience to join our team in Bucharest, Romania.

Responsibilities

• Understand the business domain and application landscape.
• Review and update existing test cases.
• Create new test scenarios for the upcoming functionality.
• Plan and execute functional, end-to-end, and integration testing.
• Establish reliable test coverage for the MVP.
• Create and maintain test data across multiple connected applications.
• Work with and validate JSON and XML files.
• Understand complex integrations and data flows between systems.
• Perform API testing.
• Demonstrate strong ownership, initiative, and proactive communication.

Requirements

• Must have

  • Strong manual testing and test design skills.
  • Ability to actively contribute during functional and technical refinements.
  • Comfortable defining and challenging acceptance criteria.
  • Experience with complex integration and end-to-end testing.
  • Familiar with test data setup across multiple systems.
  • Strong API testing experience.
  • Comfortable working with JSON and XML.
  • Experience with performance testing.
  • Demonstrates strong ownership, initiative, and proactive communication.
  • Automation experience, while understanding that automation is not the main focus of the role at this stage.
  • Bachelor Degree.
  • ISTQB certification.

• Nice to have

  • Automation testing skills.
  • TypeScript.
  • Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Ansible.
  • CI/CD pipelines.
  • Azure (Key Vault, Managed Identity, Event Hubs).
