Senior Automation Engineer with Python (50% manual, 50% automation testing)

About the Position

We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer with Python to join our team at DXC Luxoft in Sofia, Bulgaria. This role involves a balanced mix of 50% manual and 50% automation testing within the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Manual Test Execution: Perform manual execution of existing test cases on both dedicated hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) setups and actual test vehicles.
• Automation Script Development & Enhancement: Design, develop, and refine new automated tests using Python, targeting existing manual test cases.
• AI-Based Framework Contribution: Participate in the enhancement and evolution of our AI-based automation framework.
• Team Process Automation: Develop standalone scripts to automate routine team processes, improving overall productivity.
• Stakeholder Communication & Reporting: Engage with clients/stakeholders to present testing results and discuss upcoming initiatives.
• Continuous Learning & Knowledge Sharing: Participate in training programs and team-wide activities to enhance knowledge in the automotive domain.

Requirements

• Exceptional Manual Testing Proficiency: Demonstrated strong skills in manual testing across various domains.
• Automation Testing Expertise: Proven abilities in test automation with a solid understanding of best practices.
• Python Programming Fluency: Proficient in Python programming at a Middle to Senior level, with a good understanding of Robot Framework.
• AI System Understanding: Conceptual understanding of how AI systems operate and their integration into testing frameworks.
• High Intercultural Communication Skills: Superior communication abilities for effective collaboration in a multicultural environment.

Nice to Have

• German Language Proficiency
• Familiarity with C++ or C#
• Deep Automotive Systems Knowledge: Understanding of vehicle architecture, including nodes, aggregates, and ECUs.
• Driver's License
