About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Automation QA with 8+ years of experience in test automation to join our Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) team in Krakow, Poland. The IDP is an AI-assisted platform used in KYC onboarding workflows to extract data from documents and present AI-proposed values for user review. The role focuses on developing and maintaining automated test solutions for backend APIs, UI flows, and end-to-end document processing scenarios.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for backend APIs, UI components, and end-to-end IDP document processing flows.
  • Build and extend test automation frameworks with a focus on maintainability, scalability, and clear reporting.
  • Support automated regression testing across different document types, attributes, and onboarding scenarios.
  • Validate extracted results against expected data, golden datasets, and structured ground-truth files.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve feedback loops for development teams.
  • Analyze test failures, investigate defects, and work closely with developers to identify root causes.
  • Maintain and improve test data handling for anonymized datasets.
  • Contribute to test strategy, quality gates, release readiness, and continuous improvement of QA processes.
  • Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders in an agile delivery model.
  • Promote automation-first and engineering-driven quality practices across the team.

Requirements

  • Must have

    • 8+ years of experience in test automation.
    • Strong hands-on experience with Java SE.
    • Strong hands-on experience with API testing/backend integration testing.
    • Hands-on experience with Playwright or Selenium.
    • Familiarity with Maven or Gradle, TestNG or JUnit, and assertion libraries such as Hamcrest or AssertJ.
    • Experience with CI/CD-based test execution and automated test reporting.
    • Experience using GitHub Copilot in day-to-day engineering or test automation work.
    • Strong test automation design, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills.
    • Experience working in agile delivery teams.
  • Nice to have

    • Experience with Python.
    • Experience with GitLab CI/CD.
    • Experience testing AI-assisted, agentic, or document-processing systems, with understanding of related quality and evaluation metrics.
    • Familiarity with AI-related concepts and components, such as skills, tools, MCP servers, and agent communication patterns.
