About the Position

Senior Automation QA Engineer (Cypress)

We are seeking a Senior Automation QA Engineer (Cypress) to join our team in Singapore. You will build reliable automation for web and API flows that support financial supervision use cases.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated tests for web applications using Cypress or Watermelon
• Partner with engineers and QA to define test strategy and coverage for user journeys and APIs
• Run automated test suites, triage failures, and raise clear defects with actionable detail
• Improve automation frameworks, coding standards, and shared utilities through code reviews
• Validate batch job execution, scheduling behavior, error handling, and output file
• Perform Oracle database checks to confirm data integrity and transformation outcomes
• Support cutover and rollback activities with smoke tests, verification steps, and post-release checks
• Carry out Windows Server testing support including service checks, log reviews, and environment configuration

Requirements

• Hands-on experience building UI test automation with Cypress or Watermelon
• Proficiency in JavaScript or Python for test development and maintenance
• Knowledge of API testing using Postman or Swagger and related validation approaches
• Experience with Oracle database validation including SQL-based checks
• Familiarity with version control and continuous integration such as Git and Jenkins
• Understanding of testing practices, defect management, and quality risk assessment
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams with shared ownership of outcomes
• Ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Docker and container-based test environments
• Experience supporting release cutovers and rollback planning in regulated environments
• Exposure to Windows Server operations in support of test execution and monitoring
