Senior Automation QA Engineer (JavaScript)

Ciklum is looking for a Senior Automation QA Engineer (JavaScript) to join our team full-time in Ukraine. As a Senior Automation QA Engineer (JavaScript), become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and optimize automated tests across the entire testing pyramid (functional, integration, contract, performance, and load testing)
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD process
• Advocate for high-quality feature specifications in collaboration with Product Owners
• Act as the sole QA Engineer in the team: design meaningful test cases and implement automation for different types of testing
• Demonstrate a quality-first mindset, ensuring the tests are reliable, reusable, and represent a strong understanding of the product flow and quality assurance principles
• Assist with the development of test strategies, creation of appropriate test harnesses, and implementation of ongoing metrics

Requirements

• 3-4+ years of experience in testing and good understanding of its concepts
• Experience in JavaScript/TypeScript automation
• Hands-on experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) and related integrations
• Experience with API testing (Rest API)
• Experience with Playwright (Test Runner, API Testing, Request Interception, PageObject pattern)
• Practical experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
• Proficiency in end-to-end application testing
• Familiarity with GitLab CI and related automation tools
• Upper-intermediate level of spoken and written English
