About the Position

We are actively seeking a Senior Automation Quality Engineer (Mobile) to strengthen our team dedicated to the Lottery domain project. The role purpose is to develop and maintain automated tests for mobile applications, backend services, and integrations supporting BAU releases and value-stream delivery.

Responsibilities

Build reusable automation for important mobile app journeys.
Manage application installation, launch, reset, and test state.
Design coverage for permissions, interruptions, backgrounding, and network changes.
Run tests across an agreed device and operating-system matrix.
Diagnose failures using device logs, screenshots, and execution evidence.
Collaborate with developers to improve app testability and automation stability.
Use approved AI tools, protect sensitive data, and independently review and execute AI-generated tests before merging.

Requirements

Core Skills:
- Strong CodeceptJS, Appium, TypeScript, and API testing capability.
- Sauce Labs for remote execution.
- Familiarity with Swift, Kotlin, Xcode, Espresso, or Compose UI.
- Mobile and backend architecture, test design, and software delivery principles.
- Mobile locators, synchronization, gestures, and application lifecycle.
- Trade-offs between physical devices, simulators/emulators, and cloud execution.
- HTTP, JSON, authentication, status codes, and schema validation.
- Independent tests with reliable setup and cleanup, acceptance, and integration layer coverage, contract checks, and mocking limitations.
- AWS/DevOps, virtual environments, and service virtualization using mocks or stubs.
AI-Assisted Engineering:
- AI-assisted mobile test design: Generate scenarios covering permissions, interruptions, app lifecycle, and network changes.
- AI-assisted development: Generate and refactor tests, validating platform-specific locators, synchronization, and device behavior.
- AI-assisted device failure analysis: Interpret device logs and execution evidence to investigate failures across operating systems and devices.

Nice to Have

Experience with additional AI tools for test automation.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
