About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Automation Test Engineer (JavaScript) to join our team in Poland or Ukraine, focusing on modern automation and AI-assisted testing approaches. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of the solution by combining strong manual testing expertise with modern automation and AI-assisted testing approaches.

What Project We Have for You

Our project is a strategic modernisation initiative for our client aimed at replacing a legacy SAP MII-based manufacturing performance analysis platform ahead of its end of support. The project focuses on building a scalable, cloud-native platform that enables efficient machine data ingestion, processing, and reporting across global manufacturing operations.

The solution will integrate with SAP S/4HANA, ServiceNow, and enterprise data platforms, providing unified operational visibility and supporting approximately 1,300 machines across multiple factories.

The delivery model will be based on cloud-native architecture and modular design and AI-first, spec-driven development practices.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end quality assurance activities across the platform
  • Design and execute manual test scenarios, including exploratory and regression testing
  • Develop, maintain, and optimise automated test suites using Playwright
  • Define and implement test strategies aligned with architecture and delivery goals
  • Collaborate with Solution Architect, developers, and stakeholders to ensure testability and quality by design
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and release workflows
  • Contribute to quality standards, testing frameworks, and best practices across teams
  • Support AI-assisted testing approaches, including validation and optimisation of generated test artefacts
  • Analyse defects, identify root causes, and ensure effective resolution and prevention
  • Ensure adherence to agreed SDLC processes and governance models

Requirements

Must-Have:

  • Strong experience in software testing (manual and automation)
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright (mandatory) for UI automation
  • Experience with TypeScript / JavaScript for test automation development
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, test design techniques, and quality standards
  • Experience with API testing and integration validation
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions) and test automation integration
  • Experience in designing and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites
  • Strong understanding of quality engineering practices in cloud-native environments
  • Experience with defect management, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with AI-assisted testing tools and approaches (e.g., Copilot, AI-generated test scenarios)
  • Experience with performance and non-functional testing
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services and cloud-native architectures
  • Experience with containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of test reporting, monitoring, and observability tools
  • Experience with enterprise integration landscapes (SAP, ServiceNow, data platforms)

Soft Skills:

  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to drive quality in a complex environment
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to operate in a client-facing role
  • Structured thinking and ability to work within defined SDLC and governance models
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven approach

We Offer

  • Competitive salary
  • Opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment
  • Professional growth and development opportunities
  • Flexible remote work options
