Senior AWS Cloud Architect

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Cloud Architect to support enterprise cloud initiatives for our client. You will design and shape scalable, secure, and resilient AWS architectures, define best practices, and provide technical guidance across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and review enterprise-grade AWS cloud architectures
• Define architecture standards, best practices, and cloud platform guidelines
• Ensure solutions meet requirements for scalability, high availability, security, and disaster recovery
• Lead architecture discussions and technical reviews with business, security, development, and operations teams
• Advise engineering teams on cloud-native approaches and implementation decisions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology
• Extensive hands-on experience in cloud, platform, or infrastructure architecture
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end AWS projects in complex enterprise environments
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, IAM, CloudWatch, and VPC
• Experience with cloud architecture patterns, security by design, IAM, networking, and governance
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) and CI/CD environments
• Knowledge of containers, microservices, serverless, and event-driven architectures
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical decisions at enterprise level
• Industry experience in Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, or CDMO environments is highly desirable and will be considered a strong advantage

• Working Model: Remote

• Language: Fluent in English is a Must, German would be an advantage
• Ideal candidate based in: Switzerland, willing to travel within Switzerland
