About the Role

At OMMAX GmbH, we are seeking a (Senior) Azure DevOps Engineer to join our team in Munich. You will play a crucial role in building and operating Azure infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and automation that move AI and data applications safely and efficiently into production.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate Azure infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and automation.
• Partner with engineering teams, architects, and client platform stakeholders.
• Design CI/CD workflows, infrastructure as code, release processes, identity and access controls, and environment strategies.
• Improve reliability and operational readiness through monitoring, alerting, automated testing, backup, recovery, and clear runbooks.
• Support production rollouts and troubleshoot cross-layer issues.
• Standardize repeatable deployment patterns while retaining flexibility for different client landscapes and AI workloads.
• Feed operational lessons back into platform tooling, engineering practices, and reusable delivery assets.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure-related roles.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and at least one of the following: CI/CD, scripting, containerisation, or infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with tools such as Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar technologies.
• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and basic security concepts.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate technical topics clearly.
• Fluency in English; additional local language skills are a plus.
