Senior BA

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior BA with strong business analysis experience in large-scale IT projects to join our team in Remote Romania. The Business Analyst is responsible for bridging business needs and technical solutions within a large-scale fuel card platform project. The BA works closely with business stakeholders, product owners, end users, and development teams to analyze business processes, define requirements, and ensure that delivered solutions support operational, commercial, and compliance objectives related to fuel card management, payments, customer accounts, and related services.

Responsibilities

• Requirements Management

  • Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
  • Conduct workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings to understand business needs.
  • Translate business requirements into clear user stories, use cases, process flows, and functional specifications.
  • Define acceptance criteria and support requirements prioritization.

• Business Process Analysis

  • Analyze existing fuel card processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Document current-state and future-state business processes.
  • Ensure alignment of proposed solutions with business objectives and operational requirements.
  • Support process optimization and automation initiatives.

• Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Facilitate communication between product management, operations, customer service, finance, compliance, and IT teams.
  • Manage requirements-related discussions and support decision-making processes.
  • Ensure stakeholders are informed about project scope, assumptions, dependencies, and risks.

• Solution Design Support

  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and UX designers during solution design.
  • Review proposed solutions to ensure business requirements are adequately addressed.
  • Participate in system design discussions and provide business domain expertise.
  • Support integration requirements involving payment systems, fuel networks, CRM, ERP, billing, and customer portals.

• Agile Delivery Support

  • Create and maintain product backlog items and user stories.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Clarify requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Support testing activities including test scenario definition and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Quality Assurance and Change Management

  • Validate delivered functionality against business requirements.
  • Identify gaps, issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support impact assessments for change requests.
  • Assist with rollout planning, user training, and communication activities.

Requirements

• Must Have

  • Strong business analysis experience in large-scale IT projects.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Expertise in requirements elicitation and documentation techniques.
  • Process modeling skills (BPMN, Visio, Lucidchart, etc.).
  • Ability to create user stories, functional specifications, and process flows.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience with system integrations and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of payments, fleet management, fuel cards, or financial services is an advantage.
