Project Description
This B2B technology platform serves the hospitality industry. It helps businesses monitor and manage conditions across their locations, identify potential issues early, and improve day-to-day operations. The solution improves policy compliance, reduces operational costs and risks, and gives operators greater visibility across multiple locations.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop new features
- Design and implement REST APIs and/or services to enable front-end UI to access and manipulate data stored in the system
- Mentor junior engineers to allow for skill and knowledge development and growth through advice, coaching, and training opportunities
- Work with external partners to develop API integrations between our platforms
- Design, develop, modify, implement, and support software components anywhere in the software stack
- Refactor existing APIs and services to improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of platform
- Use best practices and architectural rigor during the software design process, providing input on alternative strategies and solutions
- Write well-documented, extensible code that is easy to maintain and that adheres to predefined coding standards
- Reliably delivers on commitments and milestones
- Exemplify our firm’s values in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing with Python/Django/DRF
- Extensive experience developing REST APIs and integrating with 3rd party systems
- Strong emphasis and desire for writing robust, testable code
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Experience working in a highly collaborative 100% remote environment
- Extensive experience working in a production environment deployed on AWS
- Experience with Firebase, particularly Auth, Firestore, and Remote Config, for preparing and cleaning test data
- Practical REST API testing experience for test setup and backend validation
- Experience with Zephyr / Jira or similar test-management tools and maintaining test-to-automation traceability
- Upper-Intermediate+ English
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Experience with Go programming language
- Experience working with streaming time-series data at scale
- Experience with event-driven architecture, streaming, or queuing services (Kafka)
- Minor React knowledge and willing to work with
