About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer (f/m/x) with Business Analysis & AI Expertise to join our international team in Austria, focusing on backend systems development and AI integration.

Your Mission at RBI:

  • Utilize AI technologies to speed up feature development; create prototypes and proposals for solution migrations
  • Develop, improve, and maintain backend systems using Go and Java within a Kubernetes environment
  • Design APIs, event-driven architectures, and event schemas
  • Work with event streaming and event sourcing (Apache Pulsar)
  • Implement microservices and Functions as a Service (FaaS)
  • Automate integration, testing, and deployment processes using declarative GitOps (ArgoCD)
  • Collaborate in requirements analysis; support Product Owners by clarifying system capabilities and constraints
  • Operate within an international agile team alongside business analysts, frontend developers, testers, and DevOps

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in software development
  • Adaptability and strong interest to integrate AI with various projects
  • Pro-active, creative attitude and team orientation
  • Excellent communication skill
  • Ability to present prototypes or concepts to senior management
  • Structured working approach and problem-solving skills
  • Very good command of English (mandatory), German is a plus

  • Experience with Apache Pulsar and ArgoCD
