About the Position
We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer (f/m/x) with Business Analysis & AI Expertise to join our international team in Austria, focusing on backend systems development and AI integration.
Your Mission at RBI:
- Utilize AI technologies to speed up feature development; create prototypes and proposals for solution migrations
- Develop, improve, and maintain backend systems using Go and Java within a Kubernetes environment
- Design APIs, event-driven architectures, and event schemas
- Work with event streaming and event sourcing (Apache Pulsar)
- Implement microservices and Functions as a Service (FaaS)
- Automate integration, testing, and deployment processes using declarative GitOps (ArgoCD)
- Collaborate in requirements analysis; support Product Owners by clarifying system capabilities and constraints
- Operate within an international agile team alongside business analysts, frontend developers, testers, and DevOps
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Several years of experience in software development
- Adaptability and strong interest to integrate AI with various projects
- Pro-active, creative attitude and team orientation
- Excellent communication skill
- Ability to present prototypes or concepts to senior management
- Structured working approach and problem-solving skills
- Very good command of English (mandatory), German is a plus
