Senior Backend Developer (Golang)

About the Position

Join our team as a Senior Backend Developer (Golang), specializing in API-first fiscalization solutions. With over 5 years of experience in backend development using Golang and other OOP languages, you will contribute to our SaaS platform, managing the full software lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• You’ll be part of one of our teams formed out of 3 - 7 people
• You’ll get an end2end delivery responsibility from developing, deploying, up to monitoring the software you and the team will create. We strive to achieve this by employing a Continuous Everything approach to our day-to-day activities (also known as GitOps)
• You'll be working on one of our API first SaaS solutions for fiscalization or related areas
• You'll get the chance to design and evolve the unified interface for all our services
• You'll take care that our documentation is kept relevant and supports us internally and externally
• You’ll actively apply AI/ML tools (e.g., code generation, anomaly detection, test automation) to enhance software quality, performance, and efficiency

Requirements

• 5 years as full-time Backend Developer, preferably working with Golang and other OOP languages
• Knowledge about distributed systems and proven experience working with them
• Experience with Docker or similar container platforms
• Experience with RESTful and RPC based APIs
• Ability to effectively communicate abstract ideas and concepts to others
• Preferably, allowed to work within the EU Borders

Nice to Have

• Knowledge about SOLID principles and design patterns
• Experience working in a Continuous Everything environment (GitOps)
• Practical experience with Kubernetes services and their deployment
• Working experience with asynchronous message / event based systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, PubSub,...)
• Knowledge about different types of database systems and when to best apply them (relational, document storage, key-value,...)
• Honest interest in modern cloud computing services such as GCP
• Willingness to develop yourself continuously, personally, and professionally
