Senior Backend Developer (Golang)

We are looking for dedicated, curious and skilled Golang Developer who want to take part in an innovative and growing company that provides power grid operators with monitoring solutions to ensure the effective and efficient transmission of electricity.

You will collaborate with a Ukrainian product team and Team Leader to deliver and maintain a fully functional software implementation for a government-related internal system. The project is focused on rewriting and modernizing an existing component developed in Go, which is part of a larger governmental digital platform used for internal operational processes and data management. The solution plays an important role within the broader ecosystem and requires high standards of reliability, security, and maintainability. The role involves close cooperation with stakeholders and the development team, participation in architecture and implementation discussions, and contributing to the long-term evolution of the platform and related services.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Back-end development and implementation components on the middle level according to a modern software development technologies stack
• Utilize Kubernetes to ensure successful application development, deployment, and scaling
• Employ Linux Terminal command structures to allow easy back-end operations for less-expert technical staff
• Collaborate with other technical staff to ensure consistent and smooth DevOps workflows
• Participate in decisions concerning changes to the technology stack
• Implement feedback and changes whenever possible (code review, refactoring)

Requirements

• 5+ years of development experience, 3+ years experience with Go
• Knowledge of Go templating, common frameworks, and tools
• Deep knowledge in Security, Key Vaults, HSM, etc
• Professional experience in Microservices
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider: GCP, AWS or Azure
• Practical experience with Docker and K8S
• Good knowledge of Git, Jira, and Confluence
• Understanding security patterns and anti-patterns
• Experience with various databases, data store and caching technologies
• Building and constantly improving CI/CD processes, Cloud infrastructure, and IT security
• English: Upper Intermediate or higher
• Strong analytical skills, attention to details
• Strong communications and organizational skills
• Good discipline in async team working

Nice to Have

• Electric power industry background
• Portfolio of work with examples that showcase technical skill
• Experience with frontend web development (React, Angular, Vue)
