As part of Flutter Entertainment, we play an essential role in the Group's goal of becoming the global leader in online sports betting and iGaming, developing innovative products and platforms for over 14 million monthly customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Backend Developer, you'll be part of an agile Software Development Team and you'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of an application. You will:

Guide a team of your own on the best approach for large pieces of work that span multiple components and teams.
Serve as the go-to person for big ideas and problem-solving.
Suggest alternative methodologies that may be more efficient.
Improve the tooling to enhance use cases.
Design and develop technical solutions or new processes.

Requirements

Proven track record of at least 5 years working with Java (preferably Java 8+).
Experience working with technologies such as Scala, Kafka, Akka, Memcached, Apache Storm, Apache Cassandra, Zookeeper, RabbitMQ, and others.
Experience working with a high concurrency/high transactional/highly available platform.
Familiarity with Client-server protocols such as SOAP and REST.
Expertise using established design patterns and encouraging appropriate use of reusability techniques.
Excellent communication skills (in Portuguese and English).
Strong set of soft skills including common sense and a passion for problem-solving.
