Job Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our diverse and passionate team. This critical role involves shaping our tech stack, architecture, and product in its early stages. You’ll tackle demanding technical challenges, particularly around processing large datasets and building robust ETL/data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend code.
• Manage end-to-end data pipelines: collection, manipulation, processing, and ETL.
• Work closely with our frontend team to integrate functionalities and design APIs.
• Solve complex performance issues and architectural challenges.
• Define and maintain database schemas that represent and support business processes.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
• Implement security and data protection measures.

Requirements

• Proven experience (7+ years) as a Backend Developer, preferably in fintech.
• Strong proficiency in Python and its various libraries for ETL processes.
• Solid understanding of popular ETL frameworks.
• Experience with big data tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of integrations with ERP/Financial systems.
• Familiarity with GraphQL APIs, Hasura, and server-side logic.
• Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and S3.
• Familiarity with code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Experience in managing high-volume transactional data is a plus.
