Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js)

About the Position

Our client creates no-code tools that help to make engaging pages to lift conversion rates. They build apps for non-technical marketers and designers so they can focus on creative tasks focused on their brands and products and save time and money at the same time.

Due to their growth, they’re now looking for Backend Engineers with a strong product mindset and experience. We are looking for developers with solid fundamentals in software development, systems, troubleshooting, sharp coding skills, and a passion for working on the latest technologies in a fast-paced environment. As a backend developer, your job will be highly technical and hands-on. You will also need to manage the infrastructure on Vercel, AWS, Fastly, and Cloudflare. Your typical day will require you to be available from 9 am to 7 pm.

Type of contract: B2B

Working model: fully remote

Salary rates: up to 8,000 USD/month

Responsibilities

• Write clean, readable, and maintainable code and tests
• Build Node.js applications
• Build APIs and integrate with third-party APIs
• Work on an internal product (an application or CMS) is a plus
• Work on key functionality for a cloud-based product
• Apply software engineering and architecture principles
• Build at least one product from scratch, and then scale them from 10X to 100X
• Communicate effectively with fellow team members in English

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software development
• Experience in building Node.js applications
• Experience building APIs and integrating with third-party APIs
• Experience working on an internal product (an application or CMS) is a plus
• Experience working on key functionality for a cloud-based product
• Experience in software engineering and architecture (experience working in a product-based startup is required)
• Experience building at least one product from scratch, and then scaling them from 10X to 100X
• Good communication skills, and ability to speak in English with fellow team members
