We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in building and scaling LumApps’ MicroApps platform.

Responsibilities

• Feature Engineering: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable back-end features.
• Architecture Strategy: Participate in core architectural choices and define long-term, sustainable technical solutions.
• Cross-Functional API Design: Build high-performance APIs in close collaboration with web and mobile front-end teams.
• Quality Assurance: Contribute to the automated testing strategy, participate in code reviews, and drive continuous process improvements.
• Observability & Monitoring: Track service health and performance via active monitoring to ensure high availability.
• AI Workflow Integration: Enhance team velocity by integrating modern AI developer tools into everyday engineering practices (prototyping, refactoring, documentation).
• Context Engineering: Structure codebase rules, technical documentation, and context files to maximize AI accuracy across testing, code generation, and API design.

Requirements

• Core Back-End Expertise: Strong background in back-end architecture, API design, and database management.
• Quality & Observability: Solid experience with automated testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and application monitoring tools.
• AI-Assisted Engineering: Proficiency in using modern AI coding assistants and LLMs to accelerate development workflows.
• Context & Prompt Engineering: Ability to format technical context, construct precise prompts, and manage complex context windows for AI tools.
• AI Code Auditing: Critical oversight skills to review, refactor, and secure AI-generated code against security and performance standards.
