About the Position
We're seeking a Senior Business Analyst with 3-5 years of experience in banking regulatory reporting to join our team in Bangkok, Thailand. This role is intended for a Thailand-based or Thai-speaking BA who can work closely with local business stakeholders, regulatory/reporting users, Senior Data Engineers, and Senior Data Analysts to support data platform implementation, data warehouse design, data flow analysis, regulatory reporting, and legacy reports migration.
Role Overview
As a Senior Business Analyst at GFT, you will play a key role in bridging business, regulatory reporting, and technical delivery teams. You will be responsible for gathering and documenting business and reporting requirements, supporting source-to-target data mapping discussions, clarifying legacy report logic, coordinating UAT, and ensuring business expectations are properly translated into technical requirements for the data engineering and reporting teams.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, reporting requirements, regulatory needs, and functional specifications
- Work closely with Thai business users and local stakeholders to clarify reporting logic, business rules, data definitions, and validation expectations
- Collaborate with Senior Data Engineers to support understanding of data platform architecture, data warehouse design, data flows, data pipelines, and integration requirements
- Collaborate with Senior Data Analysts to support data mapping, regulatory reporting analysis, report reconciliation, and legacy reports migration
- Analyze existing legacy reports, identify business usage, clarify report logic, and support migration planning to the new reporting or data platform
- Facilitate source-to-target mapping discussions by helping clarify business meaning, field definitions, transformation rules, filters, calculations, and aggregation logic
- Support documentation of data mapping, report catalog, business rules, process flows, use cases, workflows, and functional requirements
- Coordinate UAT activities, including test scenario preparation, business validation, defect clarification, and sign-off support
- Work with cross-functional teams, including business users, data engineers, data analysts, architects, QA, and project managers to ensure alignment across business and technical delivery
- Support change management activities related to reporting migration, new data platform adoption, and business process changes
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of project milestones, documentation, validation activities, and stakeholder updates

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Business Analyst, Reporting Business Analyst, or similar role
- Experience working on data platform, data warehouse, reporting, regulatory reporting, or legacy system migration projects is highly preferred
- Experience working with data engineering, data analyst, reporting, or regulatory teams is an advantage
