Senior Business Analyst

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with 3+ years experience in the IT industry to join our engineering team in Vilnius or Kaunas, Lithuania. You will act as a vital link between our information technology capacity and our business objectives by supporting and ensuring the successful completion of analytical, building, testing, and deployment tasks of our software product’s features.

Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough understanding of clients' business needs;
• Participate in workshops and requirement discovery sessions, and identify software solutions and requirements;
• Gather, document, analyze, and obtain approval for business requirements from stakeholders;
• Translate business requirements into clear user stories that capture enough details to enable engineers to complete tasks and including clear acceptance criteria;
• Manage the backlog for your delivery team - this means backlog refinement and ensuring timely delivery and transparency into the progress towards our goals;
• Work closely with the Product Manager leading the overall product/project strategy to prioritize and plan the roadmap;
• Collaborate with project lead to manage delivery and focus the team on shipping value;
• Work as part of a team, as well as work independently toward assigned goals.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis or a related field, preferably in the IT industry;
• Proven experience working with Agile methodologies, particularly SCRUM;
• Proven expertise in leading stakeholder interviews, workshops, and analysis sessions to effectively gather, document, and manage functional and non-functional requirements;
• Demonstrated skill in managing relationships and expectations across diverse groups (end-users, developers, and executive sponsors) and resolving conflicting requirements;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Knowledge of software development life cycles and ability to work with cross-functional teams;
• Fluency in expressing ideas both in writing and verbally (Lithuanian and English);
• Certification in business analysis: OCUP or BCS Certificate in Business Analysis; OMG Certified UML Professional Advanced (OCUP 2); CBAP / IIBAl or similar is a big plus.
