About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst - Trade Surveillance with 8-12 years' experience in Financial Markets to join our team in Chennai, India. This role is integral to the Trade Management team, focusing on the build-out of the in-house strategic cross-asset risk platform: SABRE. The platform is pivotal for trade processing, valuation, and market activities. The role involves designing and delivering solutions to platform users, with an initial focus on onboarding new products, driving enhancement solutions, planning project timelines, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with stakeholders from various project teams in Financial Markets to agree on timelines and funding, and manage all governance requirements in close collaboration with the technical development manager.
  • Coordinate with cross-discipline team members to ensure all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
  • Document actions from workshops and assist with the tracking of deliverables.
  • Prepare Gap Analysis, Business Requirements Documents, and Project Approval Requests.
  • Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in various business areas to gain an understanding of their processes.
  • Document and raise any risks and issues to Product Owners, Business Owners, and Program Management.
  • Take part in project testing cycles and assist with the preparation of test packs.
  • Understand the functionalities of the current systems and processes, and come up with requirements for system/process improvements.

Requirements

Must Have

  • 8-12 years' experience with business analysis, solution design, and end-to-end delivery in the Financial Markets industry.
  • Deep and strong experience in any one of the following (mandatory):
    • Equities and Fixed Income
    • Commodities, especially Precious & Base Metals
    • FX Options
    • Expert in FXO strategies and Structures
  • Some technical background in analyzing or reviewing code changes would be preferable.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile development practices.
  • Ability to work proactively, independently, and display strong initiative.
  • Meticulous and upkeep documentation of project artifacts, discussions, risks, and functional specifications.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with an excellent standard of English.

Nice to Have

  • Certifications such as Scrum Master, Product Owner, or PMP.
  • Knowledge and previous experience of large-scale financial markets technology platforms.
  • Experience in Trade Surveillance and Market Abuse Regulation (MAR).
