Senior C++ Developer (Miltech)

About the Position

We’re building a new product team and looking for the first, core engineer who will become its backbone and help build the system from the ground up. This isn’t a “just another developer on a large team” position - it’s a chance to shape the architecture, drive technical decisions, and set the quality bar from day one.

This role is a fit if you’re confident with Modern C++, enjoy low-level work, and are ready to own the outcome.

Responsibilities

• Build a C++ system from scratch - from architecture to production
• Design scalable, maintainable code
• Work with multithreading, performance, and memory management
• Help shape the team’s technical processes and standards

Requirements

• Modern C++ (C++17/20): deep understanding of language specifics, systems programming, memory management (RAII, smart pointers), and multithreading/concurrency
• STL: solid command of containers, algorithms, and iterators; understanding of algorithmic complexity (O(1), O(log n), etc.)
• OOP & patterns: architectural patterns, SOLID principles, ability to write scalable code
• Tooling: Git, CMake, GCC/Clang, linters, and static code analysis

Nice to Have

These are niche technologies - if you haven’t worked with them but are willing to learn, that’s fine. A strong C++ foundation is what matters most.

• Networking: network protocols (TCP/UDP, sockets, asynchronous I/O)
• MAVLink: integrating the protocol for telemetry and command exchange with UAVs / robotics
• GStreamer: building and tuning video-processing pipelines, encoding/decoding (H.264/H.265) with minimal latency
