About the Position
Acted is seeking a Senior Climate Policy & Regulatory Expert for the South Caucasus to lead the development and strengthening of climate policy and regulatory frameworks aligned with GCF requirements and international climate finance mechanisms.
Responsibilities
- Lead policy and regulatory gap analysis related to climate and GCF engagement
- Guide development of regulatory and policy documents
- Ensure alignment with GCF, GEF, MDBs
- Provide technical oversight across deliverables
- Support integration of outputs into institutional systems
- Contribute to stakeholder consultations and validation
Key Deliverables
- Inputs to gap analysis report
- Contribution to at least 7 regulatory/policy documents
- Strategic guidance notes
- Inputs to final report
Requirements
- Master’s degree in relevant field
- 6–8 years of experience in climate policy and regulatory development
- Experience with GCF (mandatory requirement), GEF, MDBs
- Strong analytical and drafting skills
- Fluency in English
Conditions
- Salary, depending on the level of education, security level, etc. as well as a monthly living allowance of $300
- Accommodation and food provided in Acted guesthouse

- Flight tickets every 6 months & visa fees covered
- Contribution to the luggage transportation: up to 100 kgs, depending on the length of the contract
- Annual leave of 25 to 43 days per year
- One week pre-departure training in Acted HQ, including a 4-day in situ security training
- Tax advice (free 30-minute call with a tax consultant)
- Psychological assistance
- This position is classified as an international staff position under Acted’s recruitment framework. Eligibility for an international contract is therefore required.
