Senior Cloud Data Engineer – Java, Python, AI

Salary: 25 200 - 30 450 PLN (brutto)
We're seeking a Senior Cloud Data Engineer with expertise in Java, Python, and AI to join our team in Warsaw, Poland for a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
- Develop a user-driven UI tool used by the operations team for regulatory reporting.
- Work within a system handling billions of transactions to identify, retrieve, and fix incorrect ones.
- Build out an "agentic user" to automate tasks for operations users.
- Commit code and deliver it into production.
- Speak directly with users to confirm requirements, test solutions, and resolve issues.
- Proactively identify what needs to be built and propose solutions.
Requirements
- Strong server-side Java experience, ideally with Spring Boot microservices (primary skill).
- Practical exposure to AI/agentic development - even an initial project counts (secondary skill).
- Experience with big data platforms such as Databricks and/or Snowflake (tertiary skill).
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Kafka in production environments.
- Familiarity with relational databases at scale (e.g. SingleStore) and/or Snowflake for archival/analytics.
- Exposure to agentic development frameworks (Google ADK or equivalents, e.g. Anthropic's frameworks).
- Comfort using AI coding tools such as Claude or Copilot, and working with Python for agentic development.
- A proactive, self-starter mindset and comfort speaking directly with business users.
- Front-end experience (React or similar) is a plus, but not required.
