About the Position
Senior Cloud Data Engineer – Java, Python, AI
Location: Warsaw (hybrid - 2 remote days/week)
Build cloud-native data platforms and production-grade pipelines that power analytics and GenAI/ML use cases at scale.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll join a technology-driven enterprise environment in Europe, designing and delivering modern data platforms and distributed processing solutions. You’ll contribute hands-on to high-quality engineering, reusable frameworks, and cross-team initiatives that increase reliability and speed of delivery.
Responsibilities
- Build, test, and maintain production-grade data engineering solutions (clean, reliable, well-tested code).
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines and distributed processing workflows.
- Create and evolve libraries/frameworks that enable maintainable and testable systems across teams.
- Provide technical leadership: break down initiatives into deliverables, align stakeholders, and drive execution.
- Collaborate on platform components supporting GenAI/ML applications and downstream data consumption.
- Work with cloud-native tooling and modern platform practices (automation, observability, CI/CD mindset).
Requirements
- 6–7+ years of professional experience in data engineering / software engineering for data platforms.
- Strong hands-on engineering experience in Java and/or Python (production systems).
- Practical experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.
- Proven background in building and maintaining large-scale pipelines / distributed processing systems.
- Fluent English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Spark, Snowflake and/or Databricks.
- Hands-on exposure to GenAI/LLM application development, ideally with LangChain and/or LangGraph (or similar frameworks).
- Experience contributing to internal platform tooling, shared libraries, or reusable frameworks.
Working Model
- Warsaw-based (hybrid: 2 days remote per week)
Eligibility
Candidates must already have the legal right to work in Europe.
Salary
25 200 - 30 450 PLN (yearly)
