About the Position
As a Senior Cloud FinOps Analyst, you will operate at the intersection of engineering, finance, and business strategy: a technical and cost management leader supporting a complex, multi-cloud and SaaS environment. This role goes beyond traditional cost management; you will help internal customers improve their cloud and SaaS consumption by applying FinOps best practices to drive efficiency, accountability, and business value.
Responsibilities
- Analyze multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SaaS cost/usage data to identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities
- Investigate cost spikes and variances, determine root causes, and drive corrective actions
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to influence cost-efficient architectural and design decisions
- Identify, prioritize, and track optimization opportunities through measurable outcomes
- Deploy and enhance FinOps tooling, including dashboards, allocation models, and automated reporting
- Improve data quality, tagging strategies, and cost visibility
- Develop and maintain cloud and SaaS spend forecasts
- Support month-end close and deliver reporting/executive summaries related to usage allocations and showback reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, Finance, or related field
- 2-4 Years of cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- 1-3 Years of FinOps or Cloud Operations experience
- Technical understanding of core AWS and Azure service offerings
- Strong understanding of cloud services
- Experience with FinOps tooling (FInout, Cloudability, CloudZero or similar cloud financial management platforms)
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, and PowerPoint or similar programs
- Superior planning, organization, and problem-solving ability
Language
- English level: Upper-Intermediate
