Senior Compliance Manager

About the Position

We're Rist Labs - a cofounding studio building ethical, AI-powered B2C products that matter. We partner with sharp founders and top talent to launch ventures that move fast, scale globally, and make a real difference.

We're looking for a Senior Compliance Manager to build compliance from zero across our three subscription apps: Kodree, Aligned, and Apollo. You'll own the whole direction solo, from fixing what our audit found to a review flow that runs on automation and AI instead of manual checks.

Responsibilities

• Fix the findings of our existing compliance audit, starting with the most urgent ones.
• Launch an MVP of the compliance function within your first months.
• Keep one risk log for all products, where every risk is prioritized and every decision is recorded.
• Build a compliance flow with marketing, design, and product, so checks happen before launch, not after.
• Review ad creatives and product copy, starting with the top performers that reach the most users.
• Track App Store, Google Play, and Meta policy updates and local regulations in our markets, and assess what each change means for the business.
• Bring risks to product CEOs together with their impact and a working alternative, knowing that the final call on business risk is theirs.
• Automate routine compliance tasks with AI tools and our systems engineer.
• Create the Rist Labs compliance guide that every product team works by.

Requirements

• 2+ years in mobile app compliance at a product company.
• Hands-on knowledge of App Store and Google Play policies, subscription and payment rules, and user data requirements across jurisdictions (70% - US, 30% - other markets).
• You know Meta ad policies and can spot a creative that promises more than the product delivers, like a "free" offer that quietly leads to a paid subscription.
• Business sense: you weigh a risk against the revenue behind it and come back with a fix, not just a "stop".
• You've built or rebuilt compliance processes yourself and can walk us through those cases.
• You turn regulatory and platform requirements into clear guidance for marketing, product, and leadership.
• You already use AI tools or agents in your daily work and know how to hand them the routine part of compliance.
• English at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.

Nice to Have

• Experience in B2C subscription apps.
• Legal or audit background, ex-Big Four is a big plus.
