About the Position

CIMPA GmbH is seeking a (Senior) Consultant Export Control (m/w/d) for a nationwide role in Germany, focusing on export control and trade compliance.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring legal changes and communicating their impact on internal and external processes
• Ensuring compliance with legal export control regulations in customer projects
• Reviewing licensing requirements based on export laws
• Creating and implementing ICPs, or adjusting processes and internal regulations
• Advising on IT solutions and implementation concepts, collaborating with IT colleagues on adapting and developing existing systems to meet regulatory requirements
• Presenting complex business processes and deriving recommendations for action
• Analyzing exports and transfers along the value chain or the entire product lifecycle, e.g., managing national and international (development) cooperation
• Creating consistent and audit-proof documentation of export control-relevant processes, data, and audit results
• Leading (integration) sub-projects
• Maintaining and implementing internal and external management systems
• Supporting our governance function
• Reviewing projects and foreign trade activities for export restrictions
• Conducting internal and external training on general awareness and project- or function-specific activities

Requirements

• A completed degree in business studies, computer science, engineering, or equivalent training with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience, e.g., in foreign trade
• Fluent in German and English, including the ability to switch between languages as needed
• Open to risk and compliance issues and willing to familiarize yourself with the subject matter
• Attention to detail and a questioning approach to relationships
• Solution-oriented and service-focused
• Enjoyment in continuously learning new processes and adapting to changing work environments
• Willingness to travel (approximately 25-50%)
