About the Position

Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our team in Traverse City, USA. This role is full-time and involves leading process improvement activities and initiatives across our healthcare system.

Responsibilities

• Lead or facilitate process improvement activities, initiatives, and events.
• Utilize Lean for Healthcare and other improvement methodologies.
• Engage in project management, planning, implementation, facilitation, data collection, and analytics.
• Serve as a trainer, coach, or mentor to team members.
• Work with leaders as a change agent to drive transformation and assist with change management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Nursing, or other professional healthcare discipline.
• Three or more years of experience including project leadership experience.
• Demonstrated expertise using performance improvement tools and methodologies, including Lean.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, presentation, and project management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with employees from all areas of the organization.
• Ability to evaluate and discuss defects and errors in an objective and non-threatening manner.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products and desktop software.
• Strong written, oral, visual, and presentation skills.
• Experience providing education/training and coaching in the use of performance improvement tools and techniques.

Nice to Have

• Clinical experience in nursing, medicine, pharmacy, or allied health profession.
• Lean for Healthcare or Lean Six Sigma certification or comparable experience.
• Familiarity with Clinical EHRs.
• A Master’s degree.
