About the Position

Senior Credit Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Senior Credit Analyst with 3 to 5 years’ experience to join our global Wholesale Banking team. This role offers an ideal opportunity to gain exposure to a new, strategically important, and high-profile team within ING Wholesale Banking. We aim to help shape the future processes within lending support across the entire global ING Wholesale Banking network. The role would suit candidates who want to begin or expand a career in corporate lending and credit analysis.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing Financial Statements: Analyze financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement) of public and private companies and input the required data into various credit analysis systems.
• Screening Loan Agreements: Screen the loan agreements and understand the financial covenants applicable to the borrower.
• Report Preparation: Prepare various reports for lending teams across the globe for overdue ratings, covenants, and financials.
• Background Research: Conduct background research independently to understand the broad drivers that guide various sectors in which the borrowers operate, resulting in an appropriate risk rating.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with local and global peers and management teams.
• Exposure to Global Teams: Work with engaged managers and have exposure to global teams across all areas of Wholesale Banking (e.g., corporate, real estate, and financial institutions, etc).

Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree preferred - if possible, in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics but can be in another discipline coupled with strong knowledge of accounting.
• Work Experience: Work experience should be in financial services involving corporate or institutional lending.
• Financial Understanding: Solid understanding of the financial statements of companies.
• Skills: High level of attention to detail coupled with strong organizational and scheduling skills.
• Communication: Excellent written and spoken English communication skills. You will be working with teams across multiple lines of business based in many different countries, so strong communication skills are a must.
• Values: We value resourcefulness, teamwork, and enthusiasm which might be demonstrated via your previous work experience or perhaps involvement in extracurricular activities.
