Senior Credit Analyst

About the Position

We are looking for a Senior Credit Analyst with 3-5 years' experience to join our global team, focusing on monitoring loan covenants and financial spreading. This role offers an ideal opportunity to gain exposure to a new, strategically important, and high-profile team within ING Wholesale Banking. We aim to help shape the future processes within lending support across the entire global ING Wholesale Banking network. The role would suit candidates who want to begin or expand a career in corporate lending and credit analysis.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement) of public and private companies and inputting the required data into various credit analysis systems.
• Screening loan agreements and understanding the financial covenants applicable to the borrower.
• Preparation of various reports for lending teams across the globe for overdue ratings, covenants, and financials.
• Conducting background research independently to understand the broad drivers that guide various sectors in which the borrowers operate, with a view to performing a brief risk assessment, resulting in an appropriate risk rating.
• Working collaboratively with local and global peers and management teams.
• Exposure to global teams across all areas of Wholesale Banking (e.g., corporate, real estate, and financial institutions).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred - if possible, in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics but can be in another discipline coupled with strong knowledge of accounting.
• Work experience should be in financial services involving corporate or institutional lending.
• Solid understanding of the financial statements of companies.

• High level of attention to detail coupled with strong organizational and scheduling skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
