Senior Credit Analyst

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Credit Analyst with 3-5 years of experience to join our global team, focusing on monitoring loan covenants and financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Analysing financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement) of public and private companies and inputting the required data into various credit analysis systems.
• Screening loan agreements and understanding the financial covenants applicable to the borrower.
• Preparation of various reports for lending teams across the globe for overdue ratings, covenants, and financials.
• Conducting background research independently to understand the broad drivers that guide various sectors in which the borrowers operate with a view to performing a brief risk assessment, resulting in an appropriate risk rating.
• Collaborating with local and global peers and management teams to tap into your credit, analytical, and technical skills.
• Working with engaged managers and having exposure to global teams across all areas of Wholesale Banking (e.g., corporate, real estate, and financial institutions, etc).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred - if possible, in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics but can be in another discipline coupled with strong knowledge of accounting.
• Work experience in financial services involving corporate or institutional lending.
• Solid understanding of the financial statements of companies.
• Resourcefulness, teamwork, and enthusiasm which might be demonstrated via your previous work experience or perhaps involvement in extracurricular activities.
• High level of attention to detail coupled with strong organizational and scheduling skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills. You will be working with teams across multiple lines of business based in many different countries so strong communication skills are a must.
