About the Position

Senior Data Analyst | Data Modeler @ING Hubs Romania

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst | Data Modeler to join our team in Bucharest, Romania. This role focuses on data management and modeling, playing a crucial part in our global organization.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Analyst | Data Modeler, you will:

• Analyze data from over 20 countries using tools like SQL.
• Communicate with relevant stakeholders to support the definition and follow-up on Data Roadmaps.
• Ensure the efficient handling of ING customer data by defining and implementing requirements and controls.
• Help prevent money laundering and financial crimes globally.
• Solve complex IT problems and challenges.
• Analyze business requirements for the development of products and services within the KYC scope.
• Optimize and automate processes and data according to data standards.
• Simplify solutions and processes in a complex IT landscape and communicate clearly to various international stakeholders.
• Stimulate cross-border interaction and alignment between different teams and organizations.
• Ensure compliance with ING’s policies and standards.
• Refine stories to optimize velocity.
• Give and ask for constructive feedback.
• Build the bridge between business and IT.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of working experience in data delivery solution design, including data flows, meta-data analysis and modeling, low-level data architecture, data integration, source to target mappings, data models, data quality, and data governance.
• Solid experience with SQL queries for checking, aggregating, and analyzing large sets of data.
• Previous experience in supporting the fixing cycle of incident management processes.
• Analytical skills and problem-solving abilities with a critical thinking mindset.
• Focus on delivery through collaboration, ability to bring people together to work towards the same purpose.
• Ability to easily switch contexts and drive multiple topics within an Agile environment.
• Experience in realizing regulatory/process changes and translating regulatory requirements into functional designs and/or processes (experience in Financial Economic Crime, Anti-Money Laundering, or Compliance is a plus).
• Languages: English (advanced).
• Education: Master’s or bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Maths, or Economics/Business.
