About the Position
Senior Data Architect
Join our team as a Senior Data Architect to design and implement data solutions for our clients, focusing on data architecture and integration.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data architectures and solutions for clients.
- Assess current data systems, identify improvement needs, and plan future states.
- Develop data models and data flows, and participate in data platform and integration architecture decisions.
- Ensure data quality, management, and secure usage as part of the overall solution.
- Manage and guide projects in collaboration with clients and implementation teams.
- Conduct workshops, justify options, and help implement plans.
- Work with a team of experts in data, cloud, and AI to leverage collective expertise.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in data architecture, data management, data development, or similar data solution design work, and evidence of independent design responsibility.
- Data modeling skills and the ability to describe key data, their relationships, and data flows between systems.
- Understanding of data platform and integration architectures and the ability to evaluate how solutions meet client needs and are feasible.
- Understanding of data quality and management and their importance for reliable and secure data usage.
- Ability to assess client needs, justify and communicate solution plans, and guide their implementation with business and technical experts.
- Fluent in Finnish and English.
- Client-oriented attitude and willingness to adapt work location and method according to client project needs.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and data storage solutions, such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or Snowflake.
- Experience with data ownership, master data, metadata, data catalogs, or data traceability development.
- Understanding of generative AI, RAG solutions, and AI agent data needs, and the ability to assess data suitability for AI use.
- SQL, Python, or other technical skills for data exploration, experimentation, and support for implementation teams.
- Knowledge of architecture methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, DAMA-DMBOK, and/or ArchiMate).
- Previous consulting experience.
- Relevant technical or business degree.
