Senior Data Engineer in Riyadh (Full Time)

Now we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer for our client.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using SSIS.
Manage daily ETL operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
Design and maintain Data Warehouse architecture using Star and Snowflake schemas.
Build and manage Fact and Dimension tables based on business reporting requirements.
Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to store, process, and manage large datasets.
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure accurate reporting.
Support daily data operations and resolve data pipeline failures or production incidents.
Optimize data pipelines, queries, and warehouse performance.
Collaborate with BI, analytics, application, and business teams to understand data needs.
Document data models, ETL workflows, database structures, and operational procedures.
Participate in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or data warehouse management.
Strong hands-on experience with SSIS for ETL pipeline development and operations.
Solid understanding of Data Warehouse design and management.
Strong experience in Star Schema and Snowflake Schema modeling.
Practical knowledge of Fact and Dimension modeling.
Strong experience with SQL databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or similar.
Strong knowledge of data validation, data quality checks, and reconciliation processes.
Ability to support daily production operations and handle incident management.
Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with BI/reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS.
Knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Experience with automation, scheduling, and monitoring tools.
Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data security standards.
Experience working in enterprise-level data environments.
